The answer is accessible through Myspace : The DooLangs, one of Barcelona, Spain's obscure, but currently relevant exports is featured at The Doolangs, and harkens back to the Golden Age of Radio - yet you pick the tunes.
The DooLangs have offered four different tracks to the world - all sung in English but with a charismatic Esperanto of the Doo-Wop language of yore. The songs are minimally dressed in instrumentation, focusing on the a'capella experience; there is some saxophone, guitar and other acoustic stylings but they seem to only be included to showcase the vocal harmonies and themes of love and love lost. The DooLangs are an interesting intercultural study about the "American Invasion" of 50s and 60s musical cultures on other areas of the world - makes you feel that this is truly an international, if not universal language. The style is as tasty as bubblegum, but in the eyes of modern culture, the themes of light-heartedness are even more applicable in these tough cybereconomic times. http://www.myspace.com/thedoolangs; take it for a spin, Daddy-o!
